Mobile
Pivots
Zimmatic® mobile pivots allow growers
to bring more acres into production while spreading equipment
costs over separate fields. They allow farmers to irrigate
from ten acres up to a full quarter section and then quickly
move to a new location with minimum time and labor. Each
mobile pivot--whether a two-, three- or four-wheel design--uses
the same heavy-duty drive, collector ring, alignment and
structural components found in our fixed pivot designs and
are specially reinforced to handle the stress of movement
over uneven terrain. Each system is easily adapted to any
towing situation because the hubs on the Zimmatic towable
towers swivel 90 degrees.
Versatile
for use in fields up to a quarter section, the Zimmatic
three-wheel mobile is designed so its wheels can be easily
swiveled into towing position through a four-step procedure:
- Use
the tractor or manual jack to lift the pivot's wheels
slightly off the ground
- Remove
cotter pin in each axle and swivel wheels 90 degrees
- Hitch
tow bar to tractor
- Disconnect
pipeline and tow to next location

Two-Wheel
Mobile (Agri-Tow)
An excellent choice for fields up to 50 acres
and situations requiring frequent relocation. Agri-Tow is
designed so its wheels and axle structure rotate (stay at
right angles) to the pipeline during irrigation. This allows
the pivot to always be in a towable position, making it
ideal for use in smaller fields and confined locations.

Three-Wheel
Mobile
Offers maximum flexibility in towing to multiple
fields in different directions. The cart on the three-wheel
mobile is designed so that it can be easily swiveled to
the next towing direction. The three-wheel mobile is at
it's best with towing patterns not in a straight line and
in fields up to a quarter section.
|
Four-Wheel
Mobile
This mobile is ideal for covering larger
fields, where all pivot locations are in a straight line.
The fixed four-wheel design provides added stability when
towing over uneven terrain. The four-wheel cart is a heavy
duty design that has the added flexibility of containing
a stationary pivot point and offers a wide selection of
design options.
